Being a So. California escapee, I came to So. Oregon by
choice, looking for a better quality of life. Below are some
of the things that attracted me. Are they of interest to you?

1. PEOPLE - even in our cities
the small town atmosphere still exists, genuinely friendly &
sincere people of all ages. Best of all - not "too"
many people, you judge your commutes by miles, not hours, and
at a much lower stress level! |

2. WEATHER - all four seasons,
but generally mild winters. Average rainfall of 19-29" (we
are protected from most of the heavy winter storms/rainfall by
the Coastal Mountain Range). Lots of clean, fresh air!

3. NATURAL BEAUTY - Enjoy
the surrounding mountain vistas, the pastoral valley floors,
the many rivers & creeks and, even stop on occasion to let
a doe & her fawns cross the road.

4. RECREATION - From the
mighty Rogue River to the many lakes & mountains, nature
provides a spectacular year round playground enhanced by campgrounds,
golf courses, resorts and a network of state, county & city
parks. Ski & golf in the same day!

5. OPPORTUNITY - the Rogue Valley has & will continue
to grow, attracting families & retirees as well as entrepreneurial
type of people who see the opportunities that accompany growth
& want to be a part of it.

6. EDUCATION - both Southern
Oregon University & Rogue Community College are local &
very active in the community.

7. GOVERNMENT - is responsive
to the people! In Oregon and especially in Jackson County, they
still believe in government of the people, by the people &
for the people.
